Job Title:  Digital Communication Supervisor – IRC20576
Division: MARKETING
Department : BRAND & COMMUNICATION
Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:
The digital Communication Supervisor is in charge of promoting MTN products, services and brand to the public , either as part of a specific campaign or on a holistic level by using the latest digital marketing strategies. He/She will foster brand awareness, engagement and loyalty across a wide-reaching audience
•Support execution of youth segment strategy through the social media
•Setting and implementing social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
•Providing engaging text, image and video content for all social media accounts
•Creating and managing the online voice of an organization to build brand awareness within the online community
•Support execution of youth segment strategy through the social media
•Manage customers complaints & queries towards quick response
•proactively manage customer expectations and education through the social media
•Design and coordinate all the projects/event and activities through  the social media
•Ensure a good communication to the brand through the social media network by working the image, the positioning and the performance indicators of the MTN brand on the market.
•Work the activations of products and services directed target during the social media network
Key Performance Areas:
•Define Annual Digital communication axis/Strategy
•Define & implement annual axis or strategy of communication based on business & brand KPIs and actual trends.
•Identifying & share new technologies and trends
•Monitor competition digital activities
•Annual Digital strategy
Support Products & Services strategy
•Innovative or original activation of MTN products & Services ( All segments) through social media : Create engaging content for all platforms, including blog pieces, articles, social media posts, newsletters, and videos.
•Propose digital strategy or recommendation as part of their Go-To-Market, Relay community feedback to relevant internal stakeholders.
•Engage with online community and respond to comments and requests.
•Design and coordinate all the projects/event and activities through  the social media
•Follow, monitor and evaluate each campaign (provide end of campaign results) : Analyze web traffic and relevant community metrics, Relay community feedback to relevant internal stakeholders.
•Special focus on Youth segment ( Fresh) digital strategy : Managing the digital platform , Propose innovative ways of interact with this audience and engage them
•Liaise with other departments to stay updated on new marketing initiatives, product and service developments, and to ensure brand consistency.
•Quarterly Event  Plan
•End of campaign result
ANNUAL AND QUATERLY PLANNING OF SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVITY
•Define quarterly plan of initiatives and messages aimed at attracting more users/fans/hits/views on MTN social media pages, including but not limited to facebook page, twitter, BBM etc… Initiatives will encompass all activities aimed at reaching the market via online media; games, specially designed promos, quizzes etc
•Implement, follow and monitor the initiatives and their impact : Make sure all the initiatives match and support business KPI, provide end of quarter report on digital campaign including result
•Organize or sponsor event which will position the brand as a digital company or which will show our digital engagement
•Annual & Quartely Plan
•Post evaluation of Quartely initiatives
MANAGING MTN SOCIAL NETWORK AND WEBSITE
•Create Content plan
•Managing MTN  website or blog,
•Assisting with content creation (e.g., photography, graphic design, charts, polls, scripts),
•Analyzing relevant data and metrics
•Create, adapt, improve and optimize web communication for SEO and organic and keyword search
•Develop/maintain social media profiles and quality content on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
•Ensure a good communication to the brand through the social media network by working the image, the positioning and the performance indicators of the MTN brand on the market.
•Monthly report on social network with metrics
MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL BUDGET
•Manage the budget and takes into account margin targets and services proposed by the company (quantitative, qualitative, security)
•Periodic budget updates and reports. Cost effectiveness measures.
MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL AGENCY
•Daily management of the agency to insure the effective use of the resources and the maximum of return on investment.
•Agency work processes & documents. Periodic agency evaluations
Minimum job-related educational qualification required
•Bachelors Degree
•Degree or Diploma in Marketing
•Degree or Diploma in Marketing Communications
Minimum years relevant experience required for this position:
•2 to 3 years experience in or Marketing Communications with demonstrated skills in digital marketing or social media., preferably in Digital or Communication Agency telecoms or dynamic FMCG
•Experience with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube is essential.
•Knowledge of Hootsuite or similar programs to manage online postings on different platforms.
•Proficiency in Google Analytics.
•At least two years’ experience managing social media platforms.
•Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
•Knowledge of marketing trends and techniques.

•Understanding of marketing principles, marketing communications tools & techniques.

•Ability to coordinate execution and roll-out of activities across several social media tools , locations at the same time
•Good grasp of processes, ability to develop processes to simplify work and make more efficient, understanding of company policies, processes and procedures
•Good knowledge of GSM industry, basic technologies, products & services, industry evolution, trends, performance indicators etc…
•Financial literacy: understanding of basic finance principles, ability to plan budgets, perform cost benefits analysis for field promos, merchandising etc..
•Excellent computer and presentation skills; can work comfortably with most common computer software and programs Microsoft Office suite etc…
•Good knowledge of telecoms industry; global trends, products and services, types of technologies used and their capabilities etc…
•Strong communication and interpersonal, persuasive skills; ability to obtain cooperation from online people
•Strong organizing skills: ability to prioritize and focus effort and resources in the right places
•Excellent reporting skills
