Job Title: Coordinator Event & Sponsorship- IRC20596
Division: MARKETING
Department : BRAND & COMMUNICATION
Mission / Core purpose of the Job:
Coordinate with all other internal departments to align all Event & sponsorship initiatives into a single planning and delivery process to ensure that the Brand always speaks with a single voice and that messages put into the market and coherent and consistent with Brand Mission and positioning
Key Performance Areas:
EVENT  MANAGEMENT
•Elaborate the events plan according to Brand mission & objectives
Quarterly / annual Event  Plan
EVENT PLANNING AND ALIGNMENT
•Coordinate all Event initiatives across all Departments,including Commercial departments and Corporate Affairs,to ensure that the Brand and the Company always speak with a single Voice. Avoid cacophony and confusion. Improve efficiency and cost effectiveness of Event expenditure. Quarterly Cross Departmental Event Plan prepared, shared and approved every quarter. Effective roll-out and monitoring. Feedback to stakeholder departments
COORDINATION OF  SPONSORING DEMAND & SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE
•Study all sponsorship demands. Ensure  partnership  contribute to the improvement of Brand KPI,for any relevant sponsorship Prepare the sponsorship committee
•Monthly & Emergency sponsorship committee
LAUNCH OF SALES OFFERS
•Coordinate the execution & organization of event of new service or a special offer launch.
•Field activation plans for all large campaigns. Impact of field activations on product take off
•BTL & ATL agency coordination where needed
SUPERVISE PURCHASES OF  OUTDOOR BRANDING MATERIEL & MANAGENMENT OF GIVE AWAYS STOCK
•Supervise all purchase of branding materials in conjunction with Procurement department; ensure that all purchases follow company procurement policy and procedure.
•Ensure that all material corresponds to MTN quality standard. Follow-up & manage the existing Give away stock.
•Spot checks of materials quality,no breach of procurement procedure, suppliers paid according to finance payment rules
•Monthly stock updates & reports
•Annual merchandising plan with proposed materials,designs & budgets.
BUDGETING & OPEX MANAGEMENT
•Coordinate/ consolidate Monthly and quarterly sponsorship & event OPEX report
Minimum job-related educational qualification required
•Degree or Diploma in Marketing Communications
Minimum years relevant experience required for this position:
•Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience managing marketing communication & event s, preferably in telecoms industry or very dynamic fmcg environment

•Understanding of principles and tools of Marketing; segmentation, positioning, targeting
•Strong background and experience in brand management, event management
•Experience managing event agencies and the communication development process. Familiar with the terminology and language
•Good knowledge of media landscape and evolution of media
•Good knowledge of event landscape and evolution
•Understanding of market research principles; ability to use market research findings to correct or improve communication activities
•Strong knowledge of GSM industry, basic technologies, products & services, industry evolution, trends, performance indicators etc…
•Market & competitor analysis; ability to carry out audit of brand position in the market, comparative brand strength, identify communication opportunities
•Planning & organization: ability to plan ahead, organize work & teams in structured manner, with clear priorities and focus
•Multitasking: ability to supervise several events & sponsorship at the same time without sacrificing timing, effectiveness and quality
•Financial literacy: understanding of basic finance principles, ability to conduct cost-benefits analysis for communication projects; campaigns, sales promotions etc…,
•Creativity: openness to new ideas, new ways of doing things, willingness to test new concepts
•Ability to coordinate communication & event  projects across several departments and functions, and work with people from diverse parts of organization to deliver projects
